QuickBooks Online connector
This is a private QuickBooks Online connector operated by Iflowchain LLC. It is not a website and has no interface of its own — it exists so an AI assistant, over the Model Context Protocol, can read and work with the QuickBooks company files that have been authorized into it.
Access
This connector serves accounting firms. Only people a firm has added as staff can use it, and each firm sees only its own QuickBooks companies. If you have not been added, adding the connector will appear to work until you sign in to Intuit, at which point the sign-in is refused.
To get access, ask your firm's admin to add the email address on the Intuit account you sign in with — that address is what identifies you, and Intuit must show it as verified. For anything else, email info@iflowchain.com.
Adding the connector to Claude
Once, per person:
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste one of these addresses:
to read your firm's books, or
https://qbo.iflowchain.com/mcp/readto also create, update and void records (firm admins and staff; not viewers).https://qbo.iflowchain.com/mcp/write - Claude registers itself and opens Intuit's sign-in. Sign in with the Intuit account your firm added. This only identifies you — it does not connect a company or give the connector access to any QuickBooks data.
That is the whole setup. Claude will show the connector as connected, and you will see the companies your firm has connected.
Connecting company files
Intuit authorizes one company file per sign-in, so each file is added the same way:
- Ask Claude to run
connect_company. It returns a one-time link, valid for ten minutes, for your firm. - Open the link — or pass it to whoever can sign in to that company, such as your client — sign in to Intuit, and pick the company.
- Repeat for each file.
Any Intuit login with access to the company can complete the link; the company joins the firm
the link was made for, and the login used is recorded. Everyone in the firm then sees it in
list_companies.
Using it
Every request names the company to act on, either by its name as shown by
list_companies or by its Intuit realm id — for example, "run a profit and loss
for Acme Holdings for last quarter". Claude can read company details, run reports, and
query records; where write access has been granted it can also create, update, and void
records.
If a company stops working, its Intuit authorization has most likely lapsed — those expire
after about 100 days without use. Run connect_company for that file again to
restore it.
